The following review(s) are from campgrounds and/or RV resorts that we have visited during our travels. They will be listed in no particular order, yet will be listed with the nearest city first for those interested in stopping. I do not get anything from reviewing them, I am just doing it as a favor to fellow (and future) travelers.
PELHAM, Birmingham South Campground – This is a Good Sam Park not too far from the main highway, but far enough you need to rely on the signs. This campground is nice, yet not designed for Big Rigs and RVs with multiple slides. We had to change sites several times and each time it became more frustrating. The staff weren’t as understanding as they should be (maybe they aren’t RVers?) and this added to our frustrations.
After finally finding a site we could fit and put out our slides, it was getting dark and I was unable to explore the campground. It was surprisingly noisy considering the distance from the main road and there was a lot of in-park traffic.
