The following reviews are from campgrounds, RV resorts, truck stops and casinos (for those blacktop boondocking) that we have visited during our travels. They will be listed in no particular order, yet will be listed with the nearest city first for those interested in stopping.
Toomsuba, Loves – This Loves is located off I-20 (exit 165) in Mississippi. This one is very easy to get in-and-out and was a nice break from the highway. The store and restrooms were clean at the time of our visit and the staff friendly.
The Meridian East KOA is on the same road if you are looking for a place to pull-off and plug-in for the night.

Olive Branch, Flying J – This Flying J is located off US 78 & Bethel Road in Mississippi. This is another Flying J with a rather odd entrance, but well worth the stop. A very nice facility with good RV parking up front.

Gulfport, Flying J – This Flying J is located off I-10 (exit 31) in Mississippi. This one is very easy to get in-and-out, especially the RV island location. A very nice facility with good parking.

Hancock County, Welcome Center – This Welcome Center is located off I-10 (exit 2) in Mississippi. Normally I would not note Welcome Centers, but this one is worth a stop if you want to get a free tour of America’s largest rocket complex – NASA’s Stennis Space Center.
Free tours leave from this Welcome Center every day, Wednesday – Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm. Adults must show a photo I.D. (driver’s license). For more information, you can call 1-800-237-1821 or visit their site at: http://www.ssc.nasa.gov/public/visitors/ .
There is no overnight parking allowed at this Welcome Center, however, there is designated parking for folks taking a tour. Just confirm your extended parking when you sign up for the tour.

RV PARKING FRIENDLY? Yes
EASY TO FIND? Yes, just watch the exit as the Welcome Center cannot be seen from I-10.
Gulfport, Baywood RV Park – This campground is located off I-10 (exit 38) in Mississippi. It is not easy to find off the highway as it is directly in town and located back behind two businesses. The sign to the campground is small and if you miss it, good luck on finding a place to turn your rig around!
This campground is rather junky and not at all Big Rig friendly! There are so many trees that once you pull into the campground, there is no sun.
Once we found the office (at the back of the campground, of course!), we were met by a rather disgruntled employee who guaranteed they had “Big Rig pull-thrus”. Ha!
Their so called pull-thrus are on the side of a hill on a tight-circled drive. And don’t forget… the trees!
WoodAll’s really missed the mark on rating this one. We wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to find this one, even for the night.

Biloxi, Parker’s Landing – This campground is located just off I-10(exit 41) in Mississippi. It is off the highway, so follow their directions.
The campground has a beautiful brochure which we picked up at the MS Welcome Center. Don’t believe what you read and see! This campground is not at all what they advertise.
It is extremely junky and appears rather old. There are a lot of trees and even driving around the campground you have to watch for low limbs. They promote being the best Big Rig friendly park in the state, but is far from it.
There is no overnight drop and we had to wait until the office opened in the morning to pay. This made us leave later in the day than we wanted.
There is Cable TV but if you have small children, you may want to view the TV line-up first as there appeared to be a few not-so-kid-friendly channels. There is no WiFi available and I found problems with my own wireless provider at this location.
We didn’t sleep well at this campground. One of us was always getting up making sure our truck was secure and doors locked. I think we have slept better in busy truck stop parking lots than this campground. We just didn’t feel safe at all here.
Another campground that somehow got decent ratings from WoodAll’s and Trailer Life – how I don’t know!

H.S.
QUICK NOTE! We recently stopped at the rest area along I-20 (eastbound), just east of exit 88… and I must say, I was impressed! This rest area has a great pull-off for big rigs, plus dump station. The facilities were very clean, they offered stocked vending machines, on-duty security and the buildings were designated shelters in storms. Nice stop if you are traveling along this stretch of highway.
