The following review(s) are from campgrounds and/or RV resorts that we have visited during our travels. They will be listed in no particular order, yet will be listed with the nearest city first for those interested in stopping. I do not get anything from reviewing them, I am just doing it as a favor to fellow (and future) travelers.

ALBANY, Albany/Corvallis KOA – We pulled in late to the campground and figured we would have to use the overnight drop-box. We were starting to look at the night information when a woman opened the door and said she would check us in, since she was still around. We thanked her and went inside, surprised to see an amazing gift shop and camp store!

We explained that we had four deep, long slides and had problems at previous campgrounds. She understood and told us that if we needed to move, just slide a note under the store door so that they knew we took another site! :)

She was extremely helpful and piled us up high with brochures of the area. Some nearby attractions include covered bridges, historic buildings, wineries and shopping. We had toured this area before and enjoyed the sites.

The campground offers CATV and WiFi. The pull-thrus are long, but narrow with obstacles. I recall we had to move a picnic table to get one slide out.

It did appear to us that there were some yearround campers, but we didn’t hear much park normal noise. Although the campground is off the highway, you still get traffic noise.

If you have a larger rig, I would recommend coming into this park during normal operation hours. We were quickly losing daylight and did have to switch to another pull-thru site because of our slides.

Campground at Baker City

Campground at Baker City

BAKER CITY, Mountain View RVThis park is rather difficult to find, so have adequate directions before you arrive.  It is well worth the time though and large enough to handle any-sized rig.

The staff is very friendly, the store well-stocked and you will want to make sure you take plenty of pictures of the store!

The campground is quite, but I suspect in season it may be a little noisy with the location of the playground. The restroom and laundry area are very nice and they do have other amentities available. They have WiFi access and during our stay there was a fee of $2 a day for use. It did take several attempts for my internet browser to load their sign-on page.

There is plenty to do in the area with the history of the Oregon Trail “passing through”. Historic buildings and even an Oregon Trail Interpretive Center are only minutes away.
